Terms of service
Last updated 6 September 2026. HuntPulse is operated by HuntPulse. Questions: nova.x.framework@gmail.com. Using HuntPulse means accepting these terms.
What the service is
HuntPulse estimates how good hunting conditions are likely to be at a place you specify, for a species you choose, and delivers that estimate as a score and a calendar. It combines public weather data, terrain, astronomical timing, published research on animal behaviour, and whatever you log yourself.
Who may use it
- You must be at least 18 to hold an account. This is a paid service, and an agreement to pay for it has to be one you can legally make.
- You must be able to enter into this agreement on your own behalf, or have authority to accept it for the organisation you are signing up for.
- The service is built for and offered in the United States. The data it depends on — public-land boundaries, the survey grid, seasonal normals — is US-specific, and we make no claim that the service is appropriate or lawful anywhere else. If you use it from elsewhere you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for your local law.
- You may not use the service if we have previously terminated your account, or if applicable law bars you from receiving it.
Hunting law is your responsibility
HuntPulse is not a legal reference and must never be used as one. Specifically:
- Seasons, licences, tags and legal methods vary by state, county, unit and species, and change every year. We do not track them.
- Shooting-light windows shown in the app use the common convention of 30 minutes either side of sunrise and sunset. Your state may define it differently. Check your regulations.
- Public-land information comes from the USGS PAD-US dataset and is approximate. A point inside a boundary is frequently not public ground — national forests in particular are heavily interspersed with private inholdings. It never means you are permitted to hunt there.
- Property boundaries you draw, or that we suggest from a county parcel service, are not a survey and carry no legal weight. Do not rely on them to decide where you may hunt or where a shot may be taken.
You are responsible for knowing and following the law where you hunt, for having permission to be where you are, and for hunting safely.
Your account
- Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your login.
- Give us an email address that reaches you. It is how invoices and service notices arrive.
- Add only ground you have a legitimate reason to score.
- Do not list private land in the public directory. The service will refuse it, but do not try.
- Tell us promptly at nova.x.framework@gmail.com if you believe someone else has your login.
Acceptable use
You agree not to do any of the following, and not to help anyone else do them:
- Scrape, crawl, bulk-download or systematically extract the service, its forecasts or its data; resell forecasts; or use any of it to build a competing dataset, model or product.
- Use automated means to access the service beyond ordinary personal use, or circumvent any rate limit, quota, plan limit or access control.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to derive the scoring methodology, weights or source code, except where that restriction is unenforceable where you live.
- Probe, scan or test the security of the service, or access any account, location, calendar or record that is not yours. Good-faith security research is welcome — see how to report it first.
- Interfere with the service or the upstream providers it depends on, including by placing unreasonable load on them through us.
- Use the service to locate, follow, harass or trespass on another person, or to reveal where somebody else hunts.
- Submit anything unlawful or infringing, anything you do not have the right to submit, or any misrepresentation about whose land a location is.
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose, including any wildlife offence, or in violation of any hunting regulation.
- Remove, obscure or alter any copyright, attribution or proprietary notice.
What you own, and what you let us do with it
Your content stays yours. The locations you add, the boundaries you draw, the markers you place and the journal you keep belong to you. We claim no ownership of any of it.
To run the service we need a narrow licence to handle it: you grant HuntPulse a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, encrypt, transmit and process your content solely to operate, secure and support the service and to produce the forecasts and calendars you asked for. That licence exists for no other purpose. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups until they age out and for records we are required to keep.
- We do not use your content for advertising, do not sell it, and do not use it to train machine-learning models.
- A location you choose to list in the public directory is published — that is the point of listing it — and only public-land locations may ever be listed.
- Aggregate, de-identified figures that cannot be traced to you or to any location may be used to improve the scoring. Nothing that identifies a place is included.
What we own
The service, its software, its design, the HuntPulse name and logo, and the scoring methodology — the factors, weights, windows and the way they combine — are owned by HuntPulse and protected by copyright, trade secret and trademark law. © 2025–2026 HuntPulse. All rights reserved.
You get a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the service for your own hunting while your account is in good standing. Nothing here transfers any ownership to you, and no rights are granted except the ones stated. Forecasts and scores are licensed for your own use, not for redistribution or resale.
Third-party data and software the service relies on stay the property of their owners and carry their own terms and required attributions. These are listed on the credits and data sources page, which forms part of these terms.
Feedback
If you send us a suggestion, bug report or idea, we may use it without restriction and without owing you anything for it. You are not obliged to send feedback, and you should not send anything you consider confidential or want to be paid for. This does not give us any rights in your locations, boundaries or journal, which are covered above.
Billing
- Calendars are billed monthly or annually, at the rates shown when you sign up.
- Nothing goes live before payment. Calendars are shared when an invoice is marked paid.
- If an invoice is unpaid at the start of a month, calendar sharing is withdrawn and the account is suspended until it is settled. Your data is not deleted.
- Cancelling stops future billing. There are no refunds or proration for a period already paid; the calendar keeps working until that period ends.
- Annual billing is charged at ten months’ rate for twelve months of service.
- Prices exclude any sales or use tax. Where we are required to collect it, it is added to the invoice.
- We may change prices. An existing subscription keeps its price until the end of the period already paid for, and we will tell you before a change takes effect.
- Payments are handled by our payment providers. We never see or store your card number or Venmo credentials.
Availability
HuntPulse depends on services we do not run — weather providers, mapping data, Google Calendar. When one is unavailable the forecast may be delayed or scored without that input, in which case the app says which factors were missing. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service and there is no uptime commitment.
We may change, add or remove features, and may suspend the service for maintenance. If we discontinue the service altogether we will give reasonable notice and refund any period paid for but not delivered.
Suspension and termination
- You may stop using the service, cancel a subscription, or delete your account at any time from your account page.
- We may suspend or terminate an account for non-payment, for breach of these terms, for conduct that threatens the service or another user, or where the law requires it. Where the circumstances allow it we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.
- On termination your licence to use the service ends immediately. The sections on ownership, disclaimers, liability, indemnity and disputes survive.
Deletion
You may delete a location or your account at any time. Deleting a private location destroys its encrypted coordinates permanently and cannot be undone — that is deliberate. Billing records are retained as long as required.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE, THE SCORES, THE FORECASTS AND ALL DATA ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HuntPulse DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY SCORE, FORECAST, BOUNDARY, PUBLIC-LAND DESIGNATION, SHOOTING-LIGHT WINDOW OR OTHER OUTPUT IS ACCURATE, COMPLETE OR CURRENT.
Some states do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits a warranty that cannot lawfully be limited.
Assumption of risk
Hunting is a physically demanding activity in remote terrain with firearms or archery equipment, and it carries an inherent risk of serious injury or death. You accept that risk entirely. HuntPulse tells you what the weather is likely to do; it does not make the woods safe, does not know the condition of a treestand, does not know where anyone else is hunting, and is not a navigation, mapping-for-safety or emergency tool. Do not rely on it to get you out.
Liability
HuntPulse is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, HuntPulse is not liable for any loss arising from use of the service — including a wasted trip, a missed opportunity, a decision made on the basis of a score, a trespass, or any injury or legal consequence arising from hunting.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HuntPulse WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS.
These limits apply to every theory of liability — contract, tort, negligence, strict liability or otherwise — and survive any failure of a limited remedy. Some states do not allow the limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence where that limitation is not permitted.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless HuntPulse from any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the service, your content, your breach of these terms, your hunting activity, any trespass or wildlife offence, or your infringement of anyone’s rights. We may take over the defence of any such claim, and you agree not to settle it in a way that binds us without our consent.
Copyright complaints
If you believe material on HuntPulse infringes your copyright, send a notice under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act to nova.x.framework@gmail.com (post: [POSTAL ADDRESS — FILL IN BEFORE LAUNCH]) including:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the work you say is infringed;
- identification of the material, and where it is on the service;
- your contact details;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for them.
We remove or disable material that is the subject of a valid notice, and we may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers. If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. Knowingly sending a false notice carries liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
Governing law and where disputes are heard
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE — FILL IN BEFORE LAUNCH], United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
Before filing anything, please email nova.x.framework@gmail.com and give us 30 days to sort it out. Most problems are a misunderstanding about billing and are fixed in a day.
If that fails, you and HuntPulse agree that any dispute will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in [STATE — FILL IN BEFORE LAUNCH], and both of us consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Either of us may still bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either may seek an injunction to protect intellectual property or account security anywhere. Any claim must be brought within one year of when it arose or it is waived, except where a longer period is required by law.
The rest of it
- Entire agreement. These terms, the privacy policy and the credits page are the whole agreement between us about the service, and replace anything said earlier.
- Severability. If a provision is unenforceable it is narrowed to the minimum extent needed, or struck, and the rest stays in force.
- No waiver. Not enforcing something once does not waive it.
- Assignment. You may not assign these terms without our written consent. We may assign them to a successor in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, on notice to you.
- Force majeure. Neither of us is liable for a failure caused by something outside our reasonable control — an upstream outage, a network failure, severe weather, or an act of government.
- Electronic communications. You agree that we may send notices, invoices and legal communications by email to the address on your account, and that these satisfy any requirement that they be in writing.
- No third-party beneficiaries. These terms are between you and us and create no rights for anyone else.
- Relationship. Nothing here creates a partnership, agency or employment relationship, and nothing makes us your guide, outfitter or adviser.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be noted here with a new date, and where the change matters we will email the address on your account. Continuing to use the service after a change means accepting it; if you do not accept it, stop using the service and cancel.
